I’m not going to write a long article so let me start by saying that the feud between apple and adobe is getting worst everyday and everyone is blaming adobe for not supporting mac back in the days.
Alot of people blame adobe cos they didn’t fully supported Mac and others blame Apple. I don’t know how long this will go on but many people on the web are saying that Adobe once said that flash runs faster on a PC, on one of their events i think. i cannot confirm nor denied but Adobe is innocent until proven guilty.
Update: Steve Jobs Says no to Flash with Open Letter to Adobe
First, there’s “Open”.
Adobe’s Flash products are 100% proprietary. They are only available from Adobe, and Adobe has sole authority as to their future enhancement, pricing, etc. While Adobe’s Flash products are widely available, this does not mean they are open, since they are controlled entirely by Adobe and available only from Adobe. By almost any definition, Flash is a closed system.
Apple has many proprietary products too. Though the operating system for the iPhone, iPod and iPad is proprietary, we strongly believe that all standards pertaining to the web should be open. Rather than use Flash, Apple has adopted HTML5, CSS and JavaScript – all open standards. Apple’s mobile devices all ship with high performance, low power implementations of these open standards. HTML5, the new web standard that has been adopted by Apple, Google and many others, lets web developers create advanced graphics, typography, animations and transitions without relying on third party browser plug-ins (like Flash). HTML5 is completely open and controlled by a standards committee, of which Apple is a member.

Questions?
Can HTML5 kill Adobe Flash ?
and will Adobe team up with Google to take on Apple ?
or will Apple team up with Microsoft?
The million dollar question is, do we really need flash on the iPhone and iPad?
I don’t know, you guys comment and let me know.
This is how Flash shows on both Phones?

It’s really more a question of getting the rich content of the web that is mostly supported by Flash right now, onto the iPhone, etc. Personally I don’t care how it gets there, just get it there! It is said by some that we never really leave our high school mentality, this feud is shaping up into a lovely little pissing match. Considering all the egos involved here, Why should the common good have anything to do with it. Then again, without egos and greed, would we still even be human?

I agree with 100% on everything you said. Adobe will find a way to get it into the iPhone and iPad or maybe the Dev-team will, who knows.

I guess their backup for not supporting Flash is because of battery life and such. I think everyone should just calm down and join together. I know this will never happen because of the competition and feuds. If they were joining there will be better products out there. Stop setting limitations and boundaries APPLE. On other news “Israel has banned imports of Apple Inc.’s hottest new product, the iPad, citing concerns that the strength of its wireless receivers and transmitters are incompatible with national standards and could disrupt other wireless devices.” Good luck with your Apple products.
